Former Disney star and "Come And Get It" hit maker Selena Gomez posted an emotional message on Instagram recently, in which she appears to be frustrated with the negative media attention.
The 22-year-old singer uploaded a picture of the phrase "I want to claim my own name" on Instagram along with the lengthy caption saying that the internet "just takes old news and freezes it like it's now."
"I've been keeping so many secrets... I'm reborn in every moment so who knows what I'll become," wrote the singer and actress, who further hinted that she is excited to reveal the truth.
Although the exact cause of Gomez's emotional outburst is not yet known, the former girlfriend of YouTube sensation Justin Bieber seems to be taking a dig at the media outlets and tabloids for spreading unconfirmed and false rumors regarding her personal life, Fox News reported.
Since she was a teen star in the Disney series "Wizards of Waverly Place," Gomez has been under media scrutiny. She was often compared to her fellow star Miley Cyrus with an ongoing rumored feud at the time.
Gomez's tumultuous relationship with the "Baby" hit maker brought her further in the media spotlight with paparazzi following the couple everywhere.
In addition, Gomez recently had to face body shamers online when she posted some of her bikini pictures. The star was slammed fat and unattractive in her fuller figure while some outlets claimed that she never looked better.
Meanwhile, MTV reported that with the recent outburst on Instagram, Gomez is apparently hinting at a new album, about which she recently revealed in a Google hangout. The singer claimed that it is almost done and it will be her best work yet.
