Taylor Swift finally released her single video "Bad Blood" and it appears that the wait was worth it. The recipient of total eight 2015 Billboard Music Awards, including the top artist, is receiving great reviews for her star-studded album.
The video starts with Swift and Selena Gomez in never-seen-before avatar, showing off their combat skills as a team in an office setting. Soon Gomez betrays the 25-year-old singer and pushed her out of the window, after which the track begins that take the viewers on a star-studded journey where she is trained amid slew of celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding and Zendaya.
The foot tapping number is a take on the friendship gone wrong. It was widely reported that the single is a kiss-off to "Roar" hit maker and Swift's rival, Katy Perry following the series of heated words and disses which the two singers have exchanged lately, Entertainment Weekly reported. Swift had said earlier in an interview that the video is inspired from her dispute with another leading female artist over back-up dancers,.
Through the star-studded Joseph Kahn directed video, it seems that Swift is letting everyone know that she has the access, status and power to land a slew of top celebrities, Washington Post reported .
However, some online commentators and Swift's fans are apparently not that much impressed with the new video. Unlike the anticipation of a new single, the track is a remix of an original track from her album "1989." The remix also features Kendrick Lamar, who appeared as "Welvin Da Great", contributes two previously-unheard verses, adding more electronic elements than its album version on "1989."
