Hollywood lovebirds, Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid, officially ended their relationship so as to focus on their respective careers.
"Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career," Hadid's representative told E! News. The rep further claimed that the two will remain friendly and will support each other in the coming times.
Both Simpson and Hadid are surely super busy people. While the Aussie songwriter and singer is gearing up for his first independent album, "Free," Hadid has her hands full with high-fashion ad campaigns and major runway shows around the world
The couple was last spotted publicly in the company of pop star Justin Bieber and model Kendall Jenner at Coachella festival last month. During a recent interview with People, Simpson hinted at the possible split, saying that prolong distance can put immense strain on any relationship.
This is not the first time that the on-and-off couple announced their break-up. Back in May 2014, they reportedly split after a year of dating owing to busy schedules. Hadid affirmed that they will remain in touch after the break-up. However, they soon reconciled and even took love-filled year end vacation to the Middle East with Selena Gomez and Jenner in tow.
Meanwhile, Hadid seems to have moved on in her career as the model landed her second Vogue cover and an appearance in the next track of Taylor Swift titled, "Bad Blood." The 20-year-old beauty shared the cover picture with her Instagram followers, along with the caption, "Unreal! My new cover of @VogueAustralia - on stands in June for all my friends down unda! Can't wait to share the inside spread soon, one of my all-time favesss."
