After Caitlyn Jenner's trans woman transformation, Miley Cyrus admitted she is bisexual and Rachel Dolezal and Kristen Stewart were out by their parents for different reasons. Now, suspended NBC news anchor Brian Williams is said to have broken his silence in an interview with Matt Lauer.

Williams is set to give his side of the story in a sit-down with the "Today" show co-host taped recently, according to NBC sources, CNN has learned. The publication previous reported that Williams will remain at NBC but will not reclaim his job as the "NBC Nightly News" anchor as it was permanently given to his fill-in Lester Holt.

The said Williams' interview with Lauer was reportedly scheduled to air on June 19, Friday, but will be delayed because of saturation news coverage of the church shooting in South Carolina.

While it is unlikely that Williams will come out as a member of the LGBTQ community, the former "NBC Nightly News" news anchor is expected to talk about the controversy over exaggerated stories that led to his suspension in February, as he has never talked about it publicly since.

Like what happened to Jenner's exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's "20/20," NBC has neither confirmed nor denied the reported Williams' interview with Lauer.

Since Williams will no longer be the "NBC Nightly News" news anchor, a new role will be given to him at NBC including a position on MSNBC, the struggling cable news channel of the network.

With Williams on board, a revamped MSNBC will focus on breaking news instead of left-leaning politics, New York Daily News has learned. The move was said to be NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack's attempt to kill two birds with one stone, and the birds are Williams' scandal and MSNBC's falling ratings.
