Hollywood star Channing Tatum lets his fans in on some never-before-seen dance moves giving swooning ladies a preview of his dancing prowess in "Magic Mike XXL," which opens in cinemas on July 1, Wednesday.
Unlike his male stripper role in the movie, Tatum channeled a more wholesome side of his talent in the 30-seconder YouTube video. It captured seven dance moves from the 80s running man to the Hawaiian hula dance and Madonna's famous vogue, Entertainment Weekly reported.
But now that he is done shooting for the movie, Tatum is ready to go easy on his intense training and strict workout routine to put on what he calls "dad bod", Reuters reported.
Though known for his heavily sculpted abs, Tatum is shifting gears to embrace the less-toned physique as the new trend and he obviously liked the idea. His body is not there yet he is bent on donning this new trend but he told the news site, "I am going to try to make it 'in.'"
The term "dad bod" was coined after a high school student took to the Internet this year sharing what she believed was the perfect picture of the male body structure, describing it as having the right combination between a beer gut and working out.
"Magic Mike XXL" is a sequel to the 2012 movie "Magic Mike" which was somewhat based on Tatum's life experiences early on in his career. Tatum has been married for six years to his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum; they have a daughter named Everly, 2.
