Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date is imminent as the tech giant will reportedly finalize the Windows 10 operating system this week.

Microsoft is almost ready to unveil its new software later this month. According to The Verge, the company is working on the final copies of Windows 10 with a release to manufacturing (RTM) build. The final copy will be sent to PC partners before distributing it to the public on the 29th.

Windows 10 is moving towards being a service mode, which means that the operating system will be regularly updated. This hinted that Windows 10 will be the final version of Windows operating system as it will constantly need updating.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date is purported to coincide with the Windows 10 launch, although Microsoft has not confirmed it. However, there are reports saying that Microsoft will delay the release of Surface Pro 4 as it just released new variants of Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 tablets.

Meanwhile, there is reportedly some delay with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release. Various reasons were cited to be the cause of the delay like the recent release of a new variant Surface Pro 3 with i7 processor and Surface 3 with 4G LTE. Other reports claimed that the mass layoffs will also postpone the release of the much awaited laplet.

Some of the purported features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are: 12-inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution, Intel Skylake processor, stylus, and USB Type-C port. Other rumored features are keyboard accessory, Type Cover 3 and Docking Station.

The aforementioned information should be taken as grain of salt as Microsoft is under a new leadership and changes are expected to happen in the company.
