Prince Charming and Cinderella

With the success of live-action Disney films, most notably Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland," "Robert Stromberg's "Maleficent," and Kenneth Branagh's "Cinderella," it has been reported that the House of Mouse is going to produce a live-action film, entitled "Prince Charming."

The said life-action film will have an ideological take, as it will center on "Prince Charming" as a concept, instead of being Cinderella's partner, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to Cinema Blend, the project may concentrate on either a single or more than one Prince Charming. "Prince Charming" can also feature one lad becoming part of the heart of every popular Disney princess. Another possibility is to showcase the princes from various tales of the House of Mouse into the project.

While "Prince Charming" is its early phase of development, Matt Fogel is on board to complete the script of the upcoming project.

Fogel's experience may not be as extensive as the other writer's since he only has one credited work, which is "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son." He has contributed as assistant to Phil Lord and Chris Miller for "Clody With A Chance of Meatballs" and he also made the draft of "Bob the Musical." However, the House of Mouse may have his script reworked by another writer.

Other classic Disney tales that are going to have their live-action films include "Pinocchio," "Mulan," "Beauty and the Beast," "Jungle Book," "Dumbo," "Pan," and "Winnie the Pooh," among others.

Now that Disney has revealed a male-led live-action film in its Cinematic Universe, it is assumed that the company will make a series of announcements on the cast, plot details, and release date.
