With David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" hitting the big screen next year, it has been reported that "Focus" actress Margot Robbie has celebrated her birthday in the set of Ayer's upcoming film.
Robbie posted a photo on her official Instagram account and it featured her on her costume as the villain Harley Quinn, along with a personalized cake. The photo was captioned "Harley's cake - thank you squad!" and it got more than 58,000 likes.
The cake is designed with card-like bands and the villain's name at one side, three red candles at one edge, and four comic books on top. It cannot be denied that the actress was happy in her birthday photo.
With regard to Robbie's look as Harley Quinn, the supervillain's blonde pigtails have been colored in two colors - blue at the left and pink at the right. There is also heart mark near her right eye, plus a red and black diamond tattoo on her left forearm.
It can also be noticed that the actress is wearing the same villain shirt that she wore during the initial production photo. According to Cinema Blend, this suggests that it is either the character has poor hygiene or the events in the film happened in a narrow time period.
Since Ayer wanted his cast to unify with their respective roles in the upcoming "Suicide Squad," it can be assumed that Robbie will be mirroring the bat-weaponed villain in the comics, according to Screen Rant. The actress can also do deliver her lines with a Brooklyn accent, which is not distant from Harley Quinn's.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is slated to premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
