With Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" coming to theaters next year, the director has revealed that Wonder Woman has a substantial role in setting up the Justice League.

In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Snyder compared the Amazonian warrior to a "gate-way drug," which will trigger the flow of events in DC's upcoming films and one of those is "Justice League."

Fans have seen Princess Diana of Themyscira in her sparkling dress in a photo with Bruce Wayne, but there is no precise information on how she will impact the future of the Justice League. According to Cinema Blend, the scenario in the recently released photo suggests that Diana and Wayne have a passionate interaction.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot, who is playing Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.' upcoming films, expressed her astonishment on her character's in DC's Cinematic Universe. She told Entertainment Weekly that her jaw dropped when Snyder revealed to her the magnitude of Wonder Woman's role in the film and the future films of the studio.

Before her solo film, "Wonder Woman," Gadot will be first seen as the Amazonian warrior in Snyder's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," along with Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight and Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. They will be joined by Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, among others.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016 while "The Justice League: Part One" will hit the big screen on Nov. 17, 2017. Patty Jenkin's "Wonder Woman" will premiere in theaters on June 23, 2017.
