Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, Grabs Miss USA 2015 Title

At the recently conducted event, Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, bagged the crown at this year's Miss USA pageant. The beauty queen competed against 50 other pretty faces on July 12, Sunday, to grab the title.

The event was held at Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where the 26-year-old outshined everyone to grab the title during the live 3-hour telecast hosted by Todd Newton and Alex Wehrley. She inherited the crown from Nia Sanchez, Miss USA 2014 winner, who represented Nevada in the pageant.

"We really need to work on being an accepting society and being a society where every single person, no matter your race, no matter your gender, is given the same rights and privileges and opportunities," said the newly crowned beauty in the final question-answer round, when she was quizzed by former Miss USA/Miss Universe 1997 Brook Lee about the next hot-button issue of U.S, Business Insider reported.

This is not the first time that Jordan has won any beauty title. Apart from winning Miss Oklahoma USA 2015, the model-turned-actress has competed in and won Miss California USA 2013, Miss World United States 2013 and Miss Beverly Hills United States 2013.

The beauty queen has also appeared in Cosmo, Shape and Vogue Japan. The model has also done a few cameo roles in several movies like "Ted," "Here Comes The Broom," and "Hot Tub Time Machine 2." She has also guest starred in on Lifetime's new dramedy, "UnREAL."

Jordan is not just a pretty face, but also holds a degree in health science from Boston University.

Meanwhile, the pageant's co-owner, Donald Trump, was absent from the event, whose derogatory remarks about Mexican immigrants has shadowed the event this year, TIME reported. NBC ended its business relationship with the politician and little-known cable network ReelzChannel picked up this year's broadcasting rights.
