With David Ayer's villainous film "Suicide Squad" coming to theaters next year, it has been reported that a flashback of Harley Quinn's life will be featured in the upcoming film.
Quinn was initially introduced sagging from the top of her cage in Belle Reve prison in the official "Suicide Squad" trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con. In addition, some sequences from the trailer showed the villain in her glasses, ponytail, and doctor's jacket.
Prior to becoming the sidekick of The Joker, the bat-holding villain was a psychiatrist named Dr. Harleen Quinzel. The Clown Prince of Gotham distorted Quinn's mind while she was treating the former in the Arkham Asylum. This knowledge, coupled with the events in the trailer, may give the possibility of seeing Quinn's backstory, according to Cinema Blend.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie told Elle magazine that she kept the rat her co-star Jared Leto gave her. She also revealed that she even gave it a name and called it Rat Rat. The crew members advised her to kill the rodent but she disagreed because for her, Quinn should cherish whatever she gets from Joker.
Robbie will play Quinn's role while Leto will play the role of The Joker. Along with the "Wolf of Wall Street" actress, "Suicide Squad" stars Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Adam Beach, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Viola Davis, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay Hernandez, Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Scott Eastwood, among others.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016. Watch the official "Suicide Squad" Comic-Con trailer here:
