Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" is coming to the big screen next month and Toby Kebbell, who is playing the new incarnation of Doctor Doom, has revealed his burning desire as a key villain in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" actor Kebbell told Cinema Blend that he wants to work with Chris Hemsworth and become a villain to the latter's iconic Norse character, Thor. Kebbell also compared his character, Doctor Doom, to a World Cup player, who can kick Thor like a football.
According to Cinema Blend, Kebbell is not the sole actor to appeal a film cross-over between Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox. Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, also admitted that seeing two different worlds in a single film would be great.
With Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" entering Marvel's Cinematic Universe soon and the "Fantastic Four" being rumored to cross-over with the "X-Men", Kebbell's desire of having a cross-over with a "Thor" film is very likely to happen.
Meanwhile, Kebbell also told Superhero Hype that Trank's upcoming "Fantastic Four" will not showcase where Doctor Doom came from. He also mentioned that there had been no conversation on the characters due to lack of time. This may give a chance for the villain to co-exist with other Marvel characters in other films.
Aside from Kebbell playing Doctor Doom, "Fantastic Four" also stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/ The Invisible Woman, and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, among others.
Trank's "Fantastic Four" is coming to theaters on Aug. 5 while its sequel is set to be released on June 9, 2017.
