Since Microsoft has been rumored to place order for hardware components and SSD for the upcoming Surface Pro 4, the newer laptop-tablet hybrid is expected to release in October.

The Redmond based firm has placed a huge order of 256 GB SSDs with Samsung Electronics that will be made available on the Surface Pro 4 tablet, DigiTimes reported by citing unnamed supply chain. Microsoft has asked its supply channels to deliver the hardware components by September so that the Surface Pro 4 can be released in October.

The form factor of the upcoming tablet will be similar to that of the Surface Pro 3. Microsoft is collaborating with different manufactures to build the Surface Pro 4.

The device will be manufactured by Pegatron Technology. Jun ten International will be building the magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis. Taisol Electronics and Chaun-Choung Technology will be providing cooling modules for the SP4. Companies like ITE Tech, Realtek and Winbond are some of the other chip suppliers for the Surface Pro 4.

Microsoft is currently shipping more than 300,000 Surface Pro 3 units at present. However, for the forthcoming model, the company is rumored to increase the orders by 500,000 - 600,000 units per month. To expand the sales of the tablet, Microsoft may launch it in India.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is speculated to be featuring the Intel Skylake processor. The device is expected to feature a 12-inch display like the one present on the Surface Pro 3. It will come shipped with Windows 10 operating system onboard, Win Beta reported.
