New Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date rumors indicate that it will roll out in October with Intel Skylake processor and Windows 10 OS onboard.
Microsoft has asked its major supply chain to begin shipping components of the forthcoming Surface Pro 3 successor from September, Digitimes reported by citing anonymous industry sources. If this comes true, the Surface Pro 4 release date will be certain to happen in October this year.
The Surface Pro 4 will be sporting a slim chassis and it is expected to feature the same 12-inch display that is present on the Surface Pro 3 tablet. The new laptop-tablet hybrid will be powered by Intel Skylake chipset that is quicker and more energy efficient than the chipset that powers the older Surface Pro 3 variants.
The Intel Skylake chipset will be supported by up to 16 GB of RAM, Tech Times reported. Since all the forthcoming Microsoft products are going to arrive with Windows 10 onboard, the Surface Pro 4 will also be shipped with the new OS preloaded.
After the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was released, the Redmond-based giant had increased the monthly shipments to 300,000 units. Speculations indicate that for the successor model, Microsoft has increased the monthly shipments to 500,000 - 600,000 units.
Microsoft has officially proclaimed that it will be present at the IFA 2015 event in Berlin, Germany on Sept. 4. to unveil new Windows 10 devices. The company may announce the Surface Pro 4 at the IFA 2015 event and release it October. Rumors are rife that the company will be announcing the premium Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL flagship smartphones at the iFA 2015 event.
