Executive producer Michael Narducci and series creator Julie Plec teased about the upcoming new season of CW TV series "The Originals" at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con. "The Originals" Season 3 will have a fresh storyline that is still focused on the Mikaelson family members and a familiar face could return on the show.
According to an Entertainment Weekly report, Plec teased that "The Originals" Season 3 will have scenes featuring the entire Mikaelson family about 10 years after they were transformed into Original vampires. Having scenes of the Mikaelson family after they were turned to Original vampires suggests Nathaniel Buzolic could return in the CW TV series to reprise the role of Kol Mikaelson through flashback scenes.
There is also a possibility that Kol could return to present-time New Orleans after Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Davina (Danielle Campbell) vowed they would find a way to resurrect him. Meanwhile, executive producer Michael Narducci talked about the storyline of "The Originals" Season 3 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Narducci revealed that the theme of the upcoming new season will be about the Original sire line. The TO fans will get to know the people that Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) turned into vampires in their early days.
The vampires that the Mikaelsons created will be in New Orleans in "The Originals" Season 3 and they are not happy with their creators. These vampires know that if an Original vampire dies, then his or her vampire sire line will also die.
Even though the new villains of the show cannot kill an Original vampire because of the sire line, these vampires can still bring trouble to the Original family. The fans can expect loads of vampire violence and intrigue in "The Originals" Season 3.
"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
