‘Clash Of Clans’ News, Updates, Tournaments, Boosts: 3 Most Notable Events

"Clash of Clans" is a 2012 freemium mobile MMO strategy video game developed and published by Supercell, a video game company based in Helsinki, Finland.

The unprecedented rise of the mobile video game "Clash of Clans" made it one of the most popular and widely played game not just in the mobile platform but in the whole video game platform. Recently, the game released some updates, boosts and even sponsored a successful tournament.

Here are three of most notable events that happened in the "Clash of Clans" community since July.

Level 5 Dragons
The "Clash of Clans" update which was released in July 1 introduced one of the game's most powerful unit, the Level 5 Dragon. The new dragon is available at Town Hall level 10. At level 5, the dragon will now have golden horns on the back of its head as well as spikes on its back. The new dragon also has a significantly bigger wingspan compared to the other lower level dragons.

"Clash of Clans" Anniversary
"Clash of Clans" celebrated its third anniversary on July 30. As part of the celebration, the game's developer, Supercell, announced on its official community website that players can boost their resource collectors in a span of one week for a minimal cost of only one gem. Players will have until Aug. 7 to take advantage of the one week boost.

"Clash of Clans" Philippine Tournament
According to Inquirer, the biggest "Clash of Clans" tournament in the Philippines was held on Aug. 3. The tournament was dubbed The Philippine Clash 2015. It was organized by the Philippine eSports Organization along with Philippine-based wireless network provider Smart Communications.

The tournament also made history by setting a prize pool of 2 million pesos ($44,220). The tournament brought together 28 clans each with five members making it the biggest gathering of "Clash of Clans" teams in a single event.
