Just one day after releasing a massive update, "Clash of Clans" developer Supercell followed it up with a minor maintenance update in order to patch some recurring issue reported by gamers.
Supercell posted the change log of the new update in its official forum. Some of the issues fixed were the Clan War matchmaking feature which prevented some clans in finding an appropriate match. The Wall Breaker AI was also downgraded to the pre-patch AI due to some reported glitch. The new update also fixed the incorrect value posted in Clan War star requirement for Clan XP during wars.
Supercell also fixed the wrong names for Simplified and Traditional Chinese located in the Language selection menu. An upgrade was also made to League badges with a promise that more improvements will be released soon.
Supercell also announced that the one week shield feature will be made available in Champion League.
According to Game Zone, Supercell released a major "Clash of Clans" update called Dark Spell Factory. The title alludes to the updates newest and probably most interesting feature, the Dark Spell Factory which give players access to three different Dark Spells; Haste, Poison and Earthquake.
The Haste spell, as the name suggests, speeds up the movement of all units during a raid or an attack. The Poison spell slowly drains the health of all defending troops. The Earthquake spell inflicts massive area-of-effect damage on walls and buildings.
The July "Clash of Clans" update also made major changes on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Supercell said that despite no major bugs were discovered, the multiplayer update was rolled out in order to provide a more balanced game.
