LG G Pad II 8.0 features a full-sized USB port at the bottom of it.

LG introduced new generation of Android tablets starting with LG G Pad II 8.0, which has been launched in South Korea.

LG G Pad II 8.0 has some interesting features, including a full-sized USB port at the bottom of the device. The port supports many accessories. It looks similar to past 8-inch tablets with vertical slate with virtual navigation buttons. It is capable of housing USB flash drives and hard drives, external keyboards, charging other USB gadgets, microSD card slot and external game controllers. Users do not need to use adapters, GSM Arena reported.

The Android tablet also packs with super-thin stylus and some complex productivity apps to go with it such as desktop-like versions of Microsoft Office apps. The stylus comes with a narrow 3.5mm bezel, attributing to LG's Android skin that has some extra functionality that allows the thin tip to get past Android's finger-detection threshold.

However, the specifications of LG's new line of tablet are not really impressive. It is still powered by Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. The tablet runs under Android 5.0. It features 1.5GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. The tablet comes with 4,200 mAh battery as well.

As for the camera details, it will come with a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, according to Ubergizmo. The 8-inch G Pad II uses a 1280 x 800 IPS display just like the previous tablets and it is protected by a piece of Gorilla Glass 3.

LG fans may not be impressed with specs of this new table but they are hoping that there will be bigger and better plans for the G Pad II series. The South Korean tech company did not reveal the price for G Pad II 8.0, not even the release date.
