Lexus Unveils 2016 LX 570 SUV At Concours d’Elegance

The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is an annual event where luxury car manufacturer parades their latest and most luxurious car models. Not to be outdone by big names such as BMW and Lamborghini, Lexus also used this stage to unveil its 2016 LX 570 sports utility vehicle.

The 2016 LX 570 is Lexus' flagship car in the SUV market. Under the car's hood lies the four-cylinder variant of the GS engine line. According to The Car Connection, the car has a 5.7-liter V8 engine with a reported power output of 383-horsepower.

Lexus ditches the previous model's six-speed drivetrain and instead opted to use the eight-speed automatic transmission for the new LX 570. A new Drive Mode Select system, which is also integrated on other Lexus cars, was also added. This new mode selection allow drivers to control the cars suspension, including the Adaptive Variable Suspension, and powertrain settings.

Lexus also added several new feature that adds to the overall aesthetic and luxurious feel of the car. The 2016 LX 570 will now include a Panoramic View Monitor as well as the Blind Spot Monitor equipped with Rear Cross Traffic Assist.

The Climate Concierge which monitor interior temperature also comes in as a standard feature. The feature can control interior fans speeds and temperature of the seats and steering wheel.

For its safety feature, Lexus added a new heads-up display, Intelligent High Beam, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and the Intuitive Park Assist feature, according to Motor Authority. Additional safety mechanisms include the Pre-Collision System and the Land Departure Alert.

Lexus also upgraded the LX 570's entertainment features. The car now has a bigger 11.6-inch display screen installed at the back of the two front seats. USB ports are also installed on the rear seats as well as a separate climate control mechanism that can be used by rear passengers.
