SUV lovers should prepare themselves for some great refreshes to their favorite Lexus RX and the new 2016 LX SUV.
According to The Car Connection, Lexus will be redesigning a larger portion of the external structure of the Lexus RX with the addition of aluminum for the upcoming 2016 model. The purpose of this changes is to ensure that the new model is lighter that the current SUV, a change that will serve to improve the functionality of the car, particularly in the contemporary fuel economy environment.
The 2016 models for both Lexus RX 350 and Lexus RX 450 will have aluminum during construction. Furthermore, the automobile company should fit the models with the latest technologies already operational in Lexus arsenal.
However, it was notable that the Lexus RX series is not the SUV model that the company is redesigning for 2016. The 2016 Lexus LX spotted in a container van destined for the Middle East could be the most likely series that the company wishes to unleash for 2016, which has some upgraded features, AutoGuide revealed.
From the leaked images, LX series has a redesigned tailgate and the behind window. Other features are that the LX 2016 Lexus as well has the L-shaped LED backlights that are christened as "3D" taillights.
While in the container, it was possible to have snaps of the interior that revealed an updated freestanding infotainment display and backlit tools in addition to the three-spoke steering wheel. These features mark an upgrade for the current Lexus LX model.
The changes are anticipated in the North American models of the 2016 LX Lexus. Seemingly, enthusiasts should expect enhanced front seat side, anti-lock brakes, knee airbags, Pre-Collision System, and Traction control. The car will also come with a radio satellite, Bluetooth support, radar system, and a camera system.
