Cast members Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner arrive for the season four premiere of the HBO series ''Game of Thrones'' in New York.

"Game of Thrones" has become a global cultural phenomenon not only for its sky-high global ratings. Like "Frozen" and One Direction, the HBO series is becoming a major influence on parents in the United Kingdom, who are choosing names for their babies.

In the U.K., 53 girls were named Khaleesi and nine were named Daenerys. There were six Sansas and four Briennes. There were 244 sons and daughters named Arya in 2014. For the boys, there were 18 Theons, 17 Tyrions, four Brans, and four Sandors, Yahoo News United Kingdom. reported.

Alice-Caraline McAdams, a single mom, has decided on the possible names of her child. If the child is a girl, the name will be Arya. McAdams likes Arya's courage and intellectual independence. Arya does not find it necessary to follow the norms. She is her own woman. If McAdams will have a son, she will name him Kit after Kit Harrington who plays Jon Snow.

McAdams was able to relate to "GoT" because of the character Cersei Lannister. McAdams felt Cersei when the character said she would burn cities to the ground to make her children happy.

McAdams' first daughter was named Freya after "World of Warcraft." McAdam's mother does not agree with the name and would have preferred it if the baby will be named Elizabeth, Victoria, or Margaret.

Meanwhile, the movie "Frozen" has also influenced a lot of baby names. In 2014, 804 babies were named Anna and 537 babies were named Elsa. In 2013 there were 812 Annas and 286 Elsas.

Popular boy band One Direction has made a lot of pregnant women fall in love with them. In  2014, 5,397 babies in the U.K. were named Harry. According to some parents, the name was after One Direction's Harry Styles. The number of babies named Louis was 999. There were 902 Liams, 231 Zayns, and 155 Nialls, Irish Examiner reported.
