WWE Summerslam 2015

"The Phenom" The Undertaker defeated "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar at the recently concluded WWE SummerSlam, which took place last Sunday night, August 23, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but not until showcasing his martial arts chops in front of a live audience.

As "fake" as pro-wrestling can get, some of the moves wrestlers use in the ring are actual, genuine martial arts moves that are deadly and effective when done correctly.

Near the end of their WWE heavyweight matchup, both The Undertaker and Lesnar sunk in their signature moves -- with Lesnar employing a Kimura and The Undertaker hitting him with Hell's Gate, which is essentially a modified Gogoplata in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu terminology.

Hell's Gate then went on to cause Lesnar to "pass out" persuading the referee to call a halt to the match, awarding The Undertaker with the victory.

As absurd as it may seem for authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu moves to be used in a scripted pro-wrestling match, the way The Undertaker executed it was pretty solid in fact.

Had it been the real deal, Lesnar would most definitely had gone to sleep instead of being fake put to sleep like in their heavyweight showdown.

In the beginning of the match, Lesnar made good use of his size and strength like he so popularly had in his entire career to overpower The Undertaker in the early going.

However, true to form, no matter what Lesnar tried, The Undertaker just kept rising back up -- a trait which of course earned him the nickname, "The Deadman."

A Chokeslam here and a Tombstone there turned Lesnar into a blood faucet, but both guys however powered through the adversity, until of course, the exchange of submission holds.

As soon as Lesnar passed out, The Undertaker was declared the winner and handed Lesnar his first non-disqualification loss in pro-wrestling since 2013.
