Set of Sony Xperia Z5 Compact leaked images reveal its overall design and specifications, picking up details from the photographed dummy unit with the same design with the original device.
The Japanese tech giant will continue using its OmniBalance design philosophy on Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, GSM Arena reported. It is interestingly to note that Sony has no plans to deviate from the aesthetics and overall design of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z4.
The leaked images were picked by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer of @OnLeaks and NWE fame. It displayed a handset wrapped in a near-transparent protective case, revealing the design of Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
It clearly showed that the device will fingerprint sensors located in smartphone’s Power button. Spotted on the leaked images are the new position of the camera shutter button, a set of volume buttons which are positioned at the device’s right edge, and the absence of a round power button on the chassis. The leaked photos also suggest that the device will not include USB Type-C port.
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact’s rear camera is likely 21.5MP with Autofocus and LED flash. Its 5.2-inch Quad HD display has a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is reportedly to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. The device has 3GB of RAM and the internal storage has two versions, 16GB and 32GB which are both expandable up to 128GB using microSD card.
It is expected that Sony will unveil both Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact at the IFA event in Berlin, Germany during the first week of September, according to International Business Times.
