According to several reports, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Ultra/Plus will feature Snapdragon 810 processor, fingerprint scanner and new 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) display.
Reports also suggest that Sony could be the first Android brand manufacturer to release a smartphone with 4K Ultra High Definition display before the end of this year. According to XperiaBlog, Sony E68XX devices such as E6883, E6853 and E6833 are possibly the phablet versions called Xperia Z5 Plus of the forthcoming flagship phone - Xperia Z5.
A Sony user agent profile suggested that the models sported 2160 x 3840 display resolution and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Plus are rumored to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor MSM8994 instead of Snapdragon 820 processor. It is expected that Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 will sport a fingerprint scanning sensor.
The Xperia Z5 will come with Android M, the latest version of Android, right out of the box, Gospel Herald reported. Other features of Xperia Z5 include 3GB of RAM, 8MP front-facing camera, a 5.5 inch Full HD display, 20.7MP rear-facing camera and 32 GB of internal storage.
Rumors are also doing the rounds that some of these devices may be making use of Sony's 4K X-Reality technology. The X-Reality technology is used for content upscaling in the Sony's high resolution TV range. According to an Android Authority report, Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra/Plus will feature 4K X-Reality technology.
According to previous leaks, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 will have USB Type-C connectivity; however, a new leaked image from @ViziLeaks confirmed the lack of the technology. USB Type-C is a new technology which will be used soon by several devices.
