It seems like the fan favorite "Supernatural" season 11 will possibly have God joining the Winchester brothers in the ride to defeat the series' greatest villain The Darkness/Amara (Emily Swallow).

"I think [the Darkness] certainly opens the door for Lucifer and/or God to pop up," Jared Padalecki told Entertainment Weekly. "We're certainly going back to that and going a bit more biblical and having our take on the writings that didn't make it into the Bible."

The upcoming "Supernatural" season 11 will start right after the events of last season's finale with Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) trapped in the Impala, just as The Darkness was released as the Mark of Cain was removed. The Darkness is a pre-Biblical entity that was fought off by God and other angels. Castiel (Misha Collins) claims that the new Big Bad was the bed time stories for angels.

Producer Andrew Dabb believes The Darkness will have a very interesting point of view as the Big Bad is very alien to this world, as it was locked with Mark of Cain since the dawn of creation.

"There are ways - because the Darkness is such a big thing - to connect a lot of our different characters in terms of the impact on the witches, the impact on Hell and on Heaven and on the guys," Dabb told the ComicBookResources.

The Winchester brothers will require all the help and may even have to go to Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) to find out more about The Darkness. Padalecki thinks that Sam and Dean will need the help of God, especially with the demise of Death (Julian Richings) in figuring out how to fight the Big Bad.

Earlier reports pointed to a lot of theories suggesting that Chuck (Rob Benedict) is the God in the series. Rumor had it that the Winchester brothers' father John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) or mother Mary (Samantha Smith) will be appearing as God in the "Supernatural" season 11. However, fans speculated Chuck to be the big man upstairs.

There are also chances of Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) returning to show, since "Supernatural" season 5. Nevertheless, there has been no big news on any return of cast members for the new season.

The all-new "Supernatural" season 11 is all set to premiere on Oct. 7.
