Seth Rollins vs Sting

Sting's Opening Raw Promo

Coming from the heels of a jaw-dropping episode of Raw last week, Sting kicked off Monday night by calling out Seth Rollins for a match at WWE's next pay-per-view, "Night of Champions" in Houston, Texas.

The Icon began the promo by singing praises to Triple H, about how he will always respect his WrestleMania 31 opponent.

He then shifted his crosshair to The Authority's golden boy, Seth Rollins, claiming that the current WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion is "a legend in his own mind."

From the constant interruptions of the now-on-hiatus J&J Security, to the recent Jon Stewart debacle at SummerSlam, Sting put emphasis on Rollins' devious winning ways.

In the end, Sting promised to show everyone that Seth Rollins is not even in the same league as Triple H, and advised the WWE champion to "buckle up... you're in a hell of a ride!"

Understandably, Rollins fumed at Sting's harsh words, describing it a spit in his face. Stephanie McMahon encouraged the champion, but quickly seconded the former WCW champion's claim that Rollins isn't half the man that Triple H is... at least now for now, according to The Authority's matriarch.

Seth Rollins' Rebuttal

Seth Rollins graced a boisterous Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with this presence to cap off this week's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

After his usual whining and complaining, the WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion cleared the air about the animosity between him and Sting.

This was until The Vigilante decided to hijack Rollins' statue unveiling.

Rollins went on to discuss how a real man doesn't hide in the shadows, and demanded Sting to take back the earlier claim about Triple H and return the bronze statue.

Stephanie McMahon then enters the ring, displeased with the current situation.

She instructs Rollins to stop comparing himself to her husband, which then prompted the champion to dig up Triple H's storied history with Evolution. As usual, the two patched things up, with Steph ending up recalling Rollins' accomplishments and calling him "The Man."

To everyone inside the ring's surprise, John Cena's music blared through the speakers.

The 15-time champion tried to put things into perspective, by recounting some of The Authority's mischievous track record. Cena, then, called Rollins a conceited egomaniac and invokes his rematch clause for the United States Championship at "Night of Champions," which Stephanie hesitantly agrees.

As a contented John Cena walked up the ramp, Sting comes in to stare down Seth Rollins to end a thrilling night of Raw.
