"Half Life 3" is one of the most anticipated games in today's gaming community. However, the utter lack of news or information from Valve, the game's developer, has led many skeptics to believe that the company may have shelved the game for good. On the other hand, a recent leaked photo believed to be related to "Half Life 3" was the subject of discussion in the gaming community.
An anonymous poster advertised on the website 4Chan an image which is related to the "Half Life 3" game. The poster divided the image into 2,500 individual images which when pieced together will reveal the secret related to "Half Life 3." As of today, the thread where the image was posted was already deleted.
The community got wind of the tricky puzzle and tediously pieced together the images provide and when the effort was complete, an image was revealed.
The image formed when the puzzle was completed was a render of a robot named Dog from the "Half Life 2" video game. However, when the community check the game files of the previous game, the particular image was nowhere to be found.
A few tedious contributors also noticed that the image's texture are unique to the Source 2 engine which is used on the "Counter Strike 2", a game also produced and developed by Valve.
Another interesting side of the story is that "Half Life" writer Marc Laidlaw have vaguely confirmed the story and existence of the third "Half Life" game in the past.
Laidlaw told Metro, "There's a misunderstanding that I've always tried to address straight on when this question comes up, which is that a Half-Life story can somehow exist outside of a game. It can't."
