While "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter have manage to keep details of their new born son as discreet as possible, it has taken the couple three months to reveal the young one's name as Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch.
According to Hello Magazine, Christopher is derived from the name of a character portrayed by Cumberbatch in a play by Tom Stoppard. While Carlton is a family name that he shares with his father and grandfather.
The couple have embraced parenthood with enthusiasm since Christopher's arrival and seemed to enjoy each other's company when the two were spotted at their first post baby night out.
The new parents were seen yet again looking closer than ever when they attended the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party that took place at the Kensington Gardens in London.
In January the couple announced that they were starting a family just two months after Cumberbatch proposed to Hunter and the two tied the knot shortly after on Valentine's Day, according to People.
The "Imitation Game" actor seemed enthralled by his wife according to the publication which reported that Hunter who looked stunning gave no appearance of sleepless nights. She was attired in a stylish full-skirted navy blue midi dress which she wore with heels and a black clutch bag.
"The Fifth Estate" actor is currently riding high on rave reviews of his performance as Hamlet, prompting fans to wait in line for tickets at the theatre.
In addition, Cumberbatch was on the Queen's 2015 birthday honor's list for the award of the Order of The British Empire, which was bestowed on him soon after the birth of Christopher.
