Amazon Launches Release Dates for 'Minecraft: Story Mode'

Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on Oct. 27 and Oct. 30, in North America and Europe respectively.

Online retailer Amazon already listed the launching date of the upcoming "Minecraft: Story Mode", story driven spin-off developed by Telltale Games, in partnership with Minecraft creators, Mojang.

The game product listing is states that the game will be available in North American countries on Oct. 27 and European countries on Oct. 30, according to Gamespot. However, the game developer has not yet confirmed the official release date of the said game title.

According to Amazon, "Minecraft: Story Mode" disc will incorporate the first in a five-part episodic series and an easy access to its four more episodes as soon as they become available. Internet connection is needed when the time comes that it will be available for download.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" will be sold as a separate game. This game title may help in providing some context or story for the rumored upcoming movie. Gamers play as Jesse, taking the perilous adventure across the Overworld, a journey to save the world of "Minecraft". Players will be able to visit the Nether, the Farlands, the End, and others.

The spin-off story features an all-star voice cast, including Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Brian Posehn (The Sarah Silverman Program, Mission Hill), Paul Reubens (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Corey Feldman (The Goonies), Scott Porter (Batman: Arkham Knight), Billy West (Futurama), and Martha Plimpton (The Goonies), IGN reported.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. Among other works of Telltale Games are episodic series' for "Game of Thrones" and "The Wolf Among Us."
