Ellen Degeneres is eager to prove to everyone that there is nothing wrong with her marriage to Portia de Rossi. The host claimed that she and the "Scandal" actress are "madly in love," finally putting the nasty divorce rumors to rest.
In an interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, via Entertainment Tonight, DeGeneres said that contrary to recent reports, she and de Rossi, have a "boring" relationship. She added that they never fight and not once we're on the brink of a break up.
Unlike other celebrities, DeGeneres said that she does not have a publicist. She added that she, herself, does not know what the recent gossip is given that she does not read the tabloids.
The host also wondered why her marriage had gotten so much attention from the media. Instead of feeling apprehensive, she shared that they are actually flattered by the attention.
In other news, de Rossi was reportedly eager to make her directorial debut soon and DeGeneres was nothing but supportive.
According to Radar Online, the host and her production company are actively looking for a script for de Rossi. The publication said that she would do anything to make her wife happy.
DeGeneres, however, would want to come on board as the executive producer for her upcoming project. In spite of her demand, the source said that this did not upset the actress. On the contrary de Rossi was allegedly happy to be working with DeGeneres.
"Ellen's hands-on approach has made things way better between them," the insider said.
