Ellen DeGeneres answered back at Larry Tomczak's article "Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?" according to Page Six.
DeGeneres took a few minutes from "The Ellen Show" to address the article that said "Ellen DeGeneres celebrates her lesbianism and 'marriage' in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls."
The host started her monologue by saying that she is not "married" but just married (without the quotes). DeGeneres added that she does not have any idea what "celebrates her lesbianism" means and proceeded to open an air popper and said "Yay! I'm Gay!"
The comedian mentioned the shows and celebrities that Tomczak listed as "promoting homosexuality" such as Glee, Modern Family and CNN reporter Anderson Cooper. DeGeneres also showed a clip of the writer's recommended show "I Love Lucy" wherein a female character wore a garbage can cover over her backside and another female looked at it, according to E! Online.
"And then I did some research, and if you don't think Lucy and Ethel had something going on, explain this. If that's not gay...That's all us gays do. We get a garbage can lid..."the host said referring to the photo.
After the series of funny remarks, DeGeneres went serious and said that she does not have an agenda and she only wants to "influence people to be more kind and compassionate with one another. That is the message I'm sending out."
Before she ended her speech, DeGeneres used a spinning vortex and pretended to hypnotize the viewers while saying that the only important thing is to be true to yourself and the second is to wear Ellen underwear.
DeGeneres is listed with other shows that the writer deemed as "promoting homosexuality" in his article in Christian Post. The writer mentioned "Empire," which features a homosexual son of Terrence Howard while "Dancing with the Stars" features gay judges and gay couples. Tomczak added that the "Good Wife" shows a lesbian investigator and "Scandal" involves two homosexuals among others.
The author encouraged his readers to promote "awareness," "alternatives", and "alertness" as a way to combat the promotion of homosexuality.
Despite the criticism, DeGeneres continues to make people laugh in "The Ellen Show." Fans may check the airing schedule in their area via Ellen.tv.
