New teams will be joining "FIFA 16." Specifically, these will be 16 Brazilian teams in response to fans' wishes. The crests and kits for the Brazilian teams will be included at launch.
Developer EA has already revealed the club names of the 16 teams joining "FIFA 16." These are Atlético-MG, Atlético-PR, Avaí, Coritiba, Chapecoense, Cruzeiro, Figueirense, Fluminense, Grêmio, Internacional, Joinville, Ponte Preta, Palmeiras, Santos, São Paulo and Vasco da Gama, EA announced over at the EA Sports official website.
"We know FIFA fans love playing with Brazilian players and teams across the game, so adding 16 clubs is positive news for all fans," said EA Brazil Manager Jonathan Harris over at the official blog.
The developer added that the updated names and visuals of players will require the online update once it becomes available. This will also be required for those who want to access the Brazilian Clubs in the "FIFA Ultimate Team." The teams can be accessed via the Rest of the World team menu.
Those who do want to play through the game with the new teams can do so in most of the game modes in "FIFA 16." The Brazilian team members can also be used in the transfer database in Career Mode.
Some of the existing players in "FIFA 16" have also been ranked according to their speed as players. And among the named players, it appears that Theo Walcott turned out at the top as the fastest player, Sportsnet reported. Running close in rank as second is Fortuna Duesseldorf's Matthis Bolly, while rounding up the third top spot is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.
The placing of fastest players had seen a change since last year's "FIFA 15." According to the report, last year, Walcott only placed second, while this year's second player took the place of No. 1.
"FIFA 16" is slated for released on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC come Sept.22. EA has already promised that it will release the complete list of teams and leagues that will be playable in "FIFA 16."
