'Legends Of Tomorrow' Spoilers; Showrunner Confirms Jay Jackson As Firestorm, Character Deaths; Spin-off Not A Copy Of 'Doctor Who'?

"Legends of Tomorrow" is a spin-off series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer.

New "Legends Of Tomorrow" spoilers have been revealed regarding Jay Jackson's role as Firestorm, character deaths and having a possible comparison to the "Doctor Who" TV series.

Executive Producer Phil Klemmer has revealed several details about "Legends of Tomorrow" and what will the audiences and comic book fans are expecting to see in the superhero crossover series. He told ComicBook.com that Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh) in the show will become one-haft of the Firestorm tandem along with Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber), stating that the Firestorm matrix can be pass on to just about anyone and that Jay is the last person they have expected to be its wielder.

Firestorm's status has been a huge mystery within the show as Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) was not included in the line-up.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will also feature other members of Time Masters within the show aside from Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). Klemmer revealed that the Time Masters will likely have a hidden agenda as Rip Hunter in the series has a "vested" interest in taking down the show's main antagonist, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

Klemmer adds that team will not likely work together as a unit for too long as he stated that their would tension and betrayal amongst the members and will likely cause one of them die in the show at some point.

In other news, Arthur Darvill speaks out about the similarities and differences between "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Doctor Who" series.

Before landing the role of Rip Hunter, Darvill was part of the "Doctor Who" TV series in 2012 were he played the role of recurring character, Rory Williams in season 5. It was speculated that "Legends of Tomorrow" will have the same direction as "Doctor Who" because of its time travel plot and recruitment of other people from different timelines.

Darvill quickly dismiss the idea during an interview stating that "Legends of Tomorrow" is not an American copy of "Doctor Who" and stated that the showrunners know what they are doing and spin-off will be its own thing, Design&Trend reported. He adds that "Doctor Who" is likened to a family theme drama, while "Legends of Tomorrow" will be darker in tone and more adult oriented.

When asked about the similarities between Rip Hunter and the Doctor, the 33-year-old British actor stated that Rip is a darker person with a specific agenda unlike the Doctor, who is an alien and wants to simply fix time in order to save the world.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is speculated to premier in January 2016 on the CW Network.
