New "Gotham" season 2 spoilers have been revealed regarding two character deaths in the season premiere and David Mazouz talking about the Batcave and Bruce Wayne's early training.
"Gotham" season 2 will have a strong focus on the rise of several Batman villain's in the show such as Oswold Cobblepot/ Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Edward Nygma/ Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), Selina Kyle/ Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) and many more, as well as the debut of new characters Theo Galavan (James Frain) and Tabitha Galaven/Tigress (Jessica Lucas). The show will also explore Jim Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) resolve to fight for justice at the same time testing his moral code to do what is "right" for Gotham.
With most characters adding up within the show, there are certain characters that are bound to be killed off in order for story to flow smoothly within season 2.
It is speculated that two "significant" characters will be killed during the first few episodes of "Gotham" season 2 and the ones responsible are a gang of escaped Arkham Asylum inmates called the "Maniax." The Maniax are working for Galavan in order to achieve his goal of unleashing chaos around Gotham City, TV Guide reported.
Several clips and trailers from "Gotham" season 2 featured some of the group members like the rumored Joker character Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monoghan) and Barbara Kein (Erin Richards), Gordon's ex-girlfriend/fiancee. It is hinted that the two characters that will likely die in season 2 are Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) and GCPD Captain Sarah Essen (Zabryna Guevara).
In other news, main cast member David Mazouz has revealed about Bruce Waynes role in "Gotham" season 2.
Mazouz told DC Access that Bruce Wayne will likely use the Batcave in the show after he and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) discovered his father's secret office in the Wayne Manor at the end of season 1.
Bruce's discovery of his father's secret will eventually change his views on people, Wayne Enterprises and Gotham itself as he slowly realizes how corrupt the city and its people are in season 2.
Mazouz added that Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze will be appearing in the show and teased that the production team could use several special effect in season 2. He stated that Bruce will likely undergo early training as Batman sometime within the show.
"Gotham" season 2 will premiere on Sept. 21 on FOX.
