Henry Cavill will play the Man of Steel in Zack Snyder's “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

"Chronicle" screenwriter Max Landis has shared his take on a possible premise for a "Man of Steel" sequel.

In his interview with Screen Junkies, Landis said that his "Man of Steel" sequel would never include Batman, as the Dark Knight is the focus of in Zack Snyder's upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The screenwriter added that his Superman comic entitled "American Comic" would be released in November and it addressed a number of things that might be linked to the events in Snyder's film.

Landis continued in his pitch that Superman would have a positive image in his "Man of Steel" sequel, since he is set to save peoples' lives and bring hope to humanity. This element would be a dynamic transition of the character's image from "Man of Steel," which depicted Superman as a root of chaos and adversity.

Another interesting detail in Landis' take on "Man of Steel" sequel is that Superman will work hand in hand with the billionaire Lex Luthor to become a true superhero to the eyes of humanity, as the latter will sponsor the former in terms of monetary aspects. According to Landis, this element would make people realize that the traumatizing incident in the metropolis was a mistake.

Landis also disclosed that he loved the character Superman when he was a child. With his remarkable revelation on what could happen in a "Man of Steel" sequel, the best among his ideas is the growth of Superman's character from a destroyer to a builder, as per Entertainment Weekly.

Aside from Josh Trank's "Chronicle," Landis is also known for writing the screenplay of his comedy film "Me Him Her," Paco Cabezas' "Mr. Right," and Nima Nourizadeh's action comedy "American Ultra." He is on board to pen the script of Paul McGuigan's sci-fi horror "Victor Frankenstein."

Meanwhile, Superman will be next seen in Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which will be the catalyst to the rise of the Justice League. Henry Cavill will play Superman while Ben Affleck will play Batman. Jesse Eisenberg is set to play Lex Luthor, along with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane, among others.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016. Watch Landis' interview here:
