‘Captain America: Civil War’: Sebastian Stan Says The Winter Soldier May Die In The Film

| Sep 21, 2015 05:10 AM EDT

Sebastian Stan will play the Winter Soldier in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s upcoming film “Captain America: Civil War.”

"Captain America: Civil War" actor Sebastian Stan has talked about a possible fate of his character in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War."

Stan will reprise his role as Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier in the Russo's film. In his interview with Collider, Stan said that the Winter Soldier could die at any point in the film, since he is a human with a metal arm who is under the influence of a serum. He added that it was amusing to see his character along the Scarlet Witch, who has extremely powerful magical powers.

According to Cinema Blend, Stan has a point, as his abilities are not parallel to Scarlet Witch's, Vision's, and the abilities of other superheroes in the film. On the other hand, he could still be an asset to his team even he does not have enchanted powers, just like Hawkeye and Black Widow. While Stan sees the Winter Soldier blocking things with his metal arm, he said that it was good and relatable.

The Russos' upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" follows the standing of the superheroes following the release of the "Accords." The Winter Soldier is set to work hand in hand with Captain America, along with Hawkeye, Falcon, Ant-Man, and Agent 13. Their team will clash with Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, The Vision, War Machine, and Black Panther.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016.
