The new Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to be from the South Korean tech giant LG.

The Motorola Nexus 6 is currently selling at just $349.99 on Best Buy. The speculated Nexus 6P aka Nexus 6 (2015) is anticipated to be launched later this month, spurring an important question as to whether you should purchase the discounted Nexus 6 or wait for the upcoming Nexus 6P.

Google has confirmed to hold an event on Sept. 29, expected to be a release date for the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile OS. Normally, Nexus devices are the first ones to get the latest Android OS and rumor mills suggest that the Nexus 6P smartphone will sport the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box even as the gadget is showcased during the same Google event.

It is a tradition for Google to launch one handset every year, but speculations show that this year will be different as the internet giant will release two handsets: the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P.

As a way of getting ready for the next generation of Nexus smartphones, retailers have cut prices on the original Nexus 6 that hit the market in October 2014.

Initially, the 32GB version of the Nexus 6 was sold on eBay for $300 buy there were limited quantities on offer. Unfortunately, all the Nexus 6 stock from eBay at a discounted price was sold out.

However, according to the latest information from Best Buy, customers can still have the Nexus 6 for $350, which is a discount of up to $150.

The original Nexus 6 sports a 5.96-inch display with 2560 by 1440 pixel screen resolution, Tech Times reported. On the other hand, rumor mills indicate that the new nexus 6P will boast a smaller 5.7-inch display with the same pixels as Nexus 6.

While the Nexus 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC and has a 3GB RAM, the upcoming Nexus 6P is expected to run on Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3GB RAM. Furthermore, the Nexus 6P has a more powerful battery of 3500 mAh as compared to the 3220 mAh battery found in the Nexus 6.

Fans of the Nexus devices expect that the next generation Nexus 6P sports a more powerful main camera of up to 21-megapixel as compared to the 13-megapixel rear shooter found on the current Nexus 6. Based on the rumors, the upcoming Nexus 6P has more powerful features than the current Nexus 6, making the upcoming smartphone worth buying.
