"Arrow" season 4 will have new details on the flashback scenes, episode 7 synopsis and the likely return of Roy Harper to the show.
"San Andreas" star Colton Haynes teased fans about the possible return of his character, Roy Harper/Arsenal in "Arrow" season 4, during a panel discussion in the AsiaPop Comic Con event last week. Haynes told various reporters and fans that his return to "Arrow" TV series is "one call away" and added that he will likely appear in other show's such as "The Flash" and the new spin-off series, "Legends of Tomorrow," Moviepilot reported.
Roy Harper started as a recurring character in "Arrow" season 1 and became a series regular in season 2 and 3. He had a relationship with Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) sister, and began helping people due to fascination of the Emerald Archer's heroics. He soon discovered Oliver's secret and began training him in season 2.
He eventually took up a red hooded costume and the codename of Arsenal as Roy was instrumental in saving Starling City from criminals, gangs and even the League of Assassins in season 3. Roy Harper sacrificed his identity to save Oliver from being discovered as the Arrow, faking his own death and leaving team Arrow, until Thea found him and tries to convince him to return to the team. Roy declined and the latter gave his costume and gear to Thea signifying that she must continue where he left off.
Aside from Arsenal's return, executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted the script for episode 7 of "Arrow" season 4 titled "Brotherhood".
As the name implies, episode 7 will likely explore the broken friendship between Oliver and John Diggle (David Ramsey). It was seen on the trailer and various promos that their relationship has been deteriorating since Oliver kidnapped Diggle's wife, as a way to gain loyalty to the League of Assassin's and destroy them from the inside. Diggle has not exactly forgiven Oliver for that and this will be seen throughout episode 7 in season 4.
Guggenheim added the the flashback scenes in "Arrow" season 4, which will be the most secretive of all in the show and it will have something to do what Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) recruiting Oliver yet again in a mission that will connect the present flow within the show, Rotten Tomatoes reported.
"Arrow" season 4 will premiere on October 7 on the CW Network.
