Xbox One product page for “Fallout 4” revealed the role-playing game's file size on Microsoft's console.
The space requirements for “Fallout 4” come in at 28.12GB for Xbox One. For comparison, it is smaller than “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” (31.72GB) and far from “Grand Theft Auto 5” (49.03GB) on the Xbox One hard drive. American video game publisher Bethesda Softworks may have used compression techniques and used cleverly the assets to help compact the game.
Another comparison in the space requirement, “Fallout 4” is bigger than “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” (3.68GB on Xbox 360), “Fallout: New Vegas” (4.75 GB), and “Fallout 3” (5.48GB).
Reports said that 28GB will be dedicated to dialogue because the game contains more spoken line compared to “Skyrim” and “Fallout 3” combined, according to IGN. There will be regular updates, including new features similar to “Skyrim,” paid DLC, mods, and so the shared space will increase over time. File size details for the PlayStation 4 and PC editions of “Fallout 4” are not yet available.
Bethesda VP Pete Hines stated that gamers will receive attributes to distribute to their character’s desired stats: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck, or known as S.P.E.C.I.A.L. The stats will help in finding out the abilities the player will receive each time the character levels up and gains experience points for certain perks.
Bethesda will also launch new video each week to help players in choosing their skills, International Business Times reported. The video will display a certain skill, but it will depend on what S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat has been leveled up.
“Fallout 4” is expected to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 10.
