In anticipation of "Fallout 4," developer Bethesda has released the first of seven videos that takes on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system coming with the game. Following the seven abilities that aid in upgrading the characters, the first video below tries to see the advantage of strength in the world of "Fallout 4."
To prepare fans for what's to come with the new system, the developer is rolling out the videos to teach players how to survive in the wasteland, DualShockers reported. The tutorial video, aptly titled, "What makes you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?" started off with introducing how the world of the game will have scarce resources. And strength will play out in gathering these resources, mostly for looking for and bringing them back to the vault.
"The stronger you are, the more you can carry," said the narrator in the educational video series.
The video also warns that, even with strength, one has to know his limits, as there will be threats to one's ability to maneuver through the world. Part of the video also shows some of the weapons that can be wielded by characters, and some of them can enhance the strength of the player. These include modified bats, the ripper, the nail board and even the power fist.
Sadly, those who were expecting DJ Three Dog to make a comeback in "Fallout 4" will be sorely disappointed. It appears that the voice actor for the "Fallout 3" character will no longer be returning to reprise his role, IGN reported.
Previously, the Galaxy News Radio DJ was teased to return with the latest "Fallout" title. However, new developments appear to have scrapped the character in a rather surprising move, one that took by surprise even voice actor Erik Todd Dellums.
This bit of development comes after the developer has announced not only finishing over 110,000 lines worth of dialogue for the game, but also the introduction of fully voiced heroes. The latter is a big break from the usual tradition of "Fallout" as a franchise. According to Bethesda, this move was made in the aim of humanizing the characters more.
