EXO's Lay will reportedly star in "Kung Fu Yoga," alongside Jackie Chan and Indian actor Jackie Shroff. The K-pop star will reportedly film his scenes both in India and China.
According to the International Business Times, the film executives are still keeping the role of Lay under wraps. It was said that the movie is part of a three-film agreement signed by India and China during Chinese Presient Xi Jinping's visit to India last month. It will be produced by Chinese firms Taihe Entertainment and Shinework Media in collaboration with Indian media company Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
The publication reported that filming for "Kung Fu Yoga will begin this October. Aside from India and China, the cast will also shoot some of the scenes in South Korea, Spain and Dubai.
Meanwhile, it has long been rumored that Lay was thinking of pursuing a solo career, following the footsteps of his former band mates Kris (Wu Yifan), Luhan and Tao (Huang Zitao). The EXO star was allegedly considering leaving the group and return to China.
Speaking to All Kpop, Lay, however, asserted that he has different plans for his career. He explained that he had no intention of leaving the K-pop group for the time being.
He added that although he was happy for Kris, Luhan and Tao, he just does not see himself returning to China soon as he still had a lot to accomplish. Lay also shared that his band mates and fans will definitely miss him.
"I don't think I understand the problem of going back or not going back. Am I not promoting in China right now?" he wondered.
