“The Witcher 3” fans are eagerly awaiting patch 1.09 as CD Projekt RED continues to be circumspect about its release date.

"The Witcher 3" fans are eagerly awaiting patch 1.09 as CD Projekt RED continues to be circumspect about its release date.

In the official forum for the action RPG, community manager Marcin Momot shared a little about the patch, but the million-dollar question - when it will be released - was not directly answered.

He only wrote that it was on the way, but would not be released until October.

Meanwhile, Momot promised that the patch would be worth the wait with a large changelog and long list of changes, which would mean all-round improvements.

Even PS4 performance will be boosted, Momot said, alongside that other platforms.

One patch spoiler spotted by Kotaku addressed the love triangle between the characters Geralt, Triss and Yennefer.

Fans have been vocal about their discomfort over how things felt lopsided in favor of Yennefer, as opposed to Triss, although players should technically be able to choose equally between the 2 potential love interests.

In a recent answer to questions regarding this issue, Momot hinted that tweaks to the dialogue between these three characters would in fact be implemented by the patch.

Another CDPR representative elaborated: "We'll be adding some additional dialogue for Triss and Yennefer in the upcoming patch due to the fan feedback."

The representative continued, " We've read many opinions on our forums where gamers weren't satisfied with the way their romance choices were fleshed out, so we wanted to change that by adding some extra conversational options."

Arrival of the patch should not be too far in the future now that October is here. Fans may then sit back and enjoy the new and improved game.
