Android Marshmallow will be rolled out for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge users on the T-Mobile network carrier soon.

According to T-Mobile, the Android Marshmallow update is confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It is expected to be rolled out in December. Other network carriers like AT&T, Bell and Verizon are also expected to confirm the update for their users soon.

On the other hand, many Samsung devices are still waiting for the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update. If the rumors are to be believed, many of these devices will get a straight jump to Android Marshmallow skipping the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update altogether.

Android Marshmallow will be released as an over the air update, which implies that different devices will receive it at different times. In addition, the size of the upgrade is expected to be more than 500 MB.

The update will contain many sub-files as it is a major upgrade. It will be prompted on the home screen of the device as and when a device will become eligible to receive it. To check for this update, the users can follow the steps as: Go to the Home Menu> Select Settings > Choose About device > Check for Software Update.

Android Marshmallow is expected to make the home screen rotatable, enhance the numeration support and get the support for Android Pay, according to GSM Arena. It will also introduce a new API Level 23, along with enhanced emergency call options in the device. It will also enhance the user experience and increase the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge device.
