The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users in Canada for the Bell and TELUS network carriers.
According to PC Tablet, the users in the US should expect the update to hit their device shortly, for Verizon, US Cellular, and T-Mobile network carriers.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade will rectify the recurring issue of Stagefright bug. This bug is been plaguing the smart devices since a long time now. When this malware enters the device, the hackers get a free pass to access all the stored information of the user, which could lead to monetary losses as well.
The LinkedIn app will get its integration with Contacts and the Calendar app after this upgrade. The accuracy in the superior auto mode will also be improved, according to BGR. Material design will be receiving an enhancement. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options will be available in the drop down shortcut menu. New icons will also be added in the menu.
The update will be release in the form of OTA. For the over the air update, users will be notified as and when their mobile carrier will get the update for release. When notified, on the screen, tap the "Install now" option and install the update immediately, or say "Remind Later" and snooze the reminder. In order to manually check for updates, go to Settings>About phone>System update>Check for updates.
The device must be at least half charged and also connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi connection for fast installation.
