A full synopsis of Bryan Singer's upcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse" has been revealed.

According to Cinema Blend, En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, had been worshipped as a god since the beginning of civilization. He built up the extraordinary abilities of other mutants, leading him to emerge as the first and most powerful mutant in Marvel's X-Men Universe.

After his dormancy for thousands of years, Apocalypse awakens and becomes disheartened with the present world. As a result, he recruits a group of powerful mutants as his four Horsemen, Angel, Psylocke, Storm, and Magneto, to wipe out humanity and create a new world, with him reigning as the leader.

With the threat Apocalypse poses to mankind, Professor X and Raven work hand in hand to lead a team of young X-Men to take down their archenemy and save humanity from Apocalypse's plot of massive destruction.

In line with being the highest threat to both humans and mutants, Apocalypse has also been reported to be capable of changing forms. As per Den of Geek, Apocalypse has the ability to manipulate his own molecular structure, in addition to his telekinetic abilities and amassed mutant powers.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, Lana Condor, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tye Sheridan, Ben Hardy, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, among others.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016.
