Microsoft's upcoming wireless adapter will allow Xbox Gamers to play games on Windows 10.
According to Tech Times, the product will be a black USB dongle that is supposed to be compatible for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
With an Xbox branding on the front case of the adapter, Microsoft assures that the product will work on both Xbox and Windows 10 platforms. The adapter will be available starting Oct. 20 for $24.99.
The Xbox Wireless Adapater for Windows will enable gamers to use their Xbox One Wireless Controllers on Windows PCs and tablets. According to PC World, any Xbox game can be accessed through this device for as long as the game has been streamed to the PC or tablet.
The Xbox Wireless Adapter is just a part of Microsoft's big plan to integrate all of their products into one big cohesive system. With the launch of Xbox One, Microsoft tried integrating the TV, Skype and the web with the console. Now, they are linking the Xbox Gaming to PC and tablet.
This work in progress provides many benefits to Xbox One and Windows 10 PC users. However, it was noted that for this system to work, the devices should run on the same Wi-Fi network.
Windows 10 has an Xbox app where it will let you play Xbox games as well as Xbox 306 titles. There is a latency on the Windows version, but it has not been considered a deal breaker.
On the other hand, Windows 10 PC to Xbox streaming does not work. But, Microsoft stated that this is a possibility in the future.
