Copies of “Halo 5: Guardians” have somehow leaked into the hands of a lucky few gamers.
The leaked images were seen from an Imgur user post, showing the game’s box as proof of possession. Moreover, a closer look at the rear side reveals that “Halo 5: Guardians” takes up as much as 60GB of the Xbox One’s hard drive space, according to Gamespot.
Although the origin of the images are not clear, the background of the photos suggest that it came from a retailer or warehouse, among other possibilities. The same thing happened to “Halo 4” in 2012, where the retail copies also leaked earlier than the official release date.
“Halo 5: Guardians” is the first in the series to receive a ‘T-for-Teen’ rating and its one-player limit for local play, GearNuke reported. Past game titles were given M-for-Mature rating. The game is also the first in the series for not supporting local split-screen co-op. However, the game will feature a 4-player online co-op mode. The game does have online co-op for up to four players and a new 24-player Warzone mode.
“Halo 5: Guardians” is an upcoming first-person shooter video game. It is the second chapter in the John-117 storyline of the Reclaimer Saga and the sequel to “Halo 4.”
American video game developer 343 Industries said that the development on the base game is now complete. In addition, it will continue to support the game with post-release content, including a Forge mode and new DLC maps.
“Halo 5: Guardians” is scheduled to unveil on Oct. 27. Meanwhile, Microsoft has announced the system requirement for Halo 5 as well as the microtransactions.
