"I am Cait" has been renewed for a second season in spite of receiving less than stellar ratings. Season 2 of Caitlyn Jenner's docuseries is expected to premiere by March 2016.
Although sources told Buzzfeed that the producers are willing to give the show another shot, a representative from E! refused to comment on the fate of the series. Its premiere episode drew in more than 2.7 million viewers. Unfortunately, the show was not able to live up to its hype as the following week's episode only had a little over a million viewers.
"I am Cait" may have been a spin off of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," but the publication pointed out that Kris Jenner, sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloe Karsdashian, and Kylie Jenner rarely make an appearance on the show. The docuseries focuses on Jenner's transformation and how her attempts to learn more about herself, educating the public about transgender issues in the process.
In other news, Life & Style magazine, via Classicalite, reported that Jenner wanted to return to "KUWTK" following her "flop" show. Sources close to the reality star held that Jenner asked help from her daughters Kylie and Khloe to convince Kris to let her back in.
Jenner held that she misses spending time with the family. She said that after her kids no longer want to do anything with her following what had happened. Kris, on the other hand, has also moved on with her life and allegedly did not want Caitlyn to be part of any of it.
"She isn't invited to family outings nearly as much as she used to be," the source said.
