Caitlyn Jenner, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, was seen struggling with her new identity in "I Am Cait" episode 7, aired on Sept. 6, Sunday on E!.
The episode, titled "What's In A Name," showed Caitlyn fussing over the seemingly endless paperwork over her new name and gender while she is preparing herself for the stage appearance at the ESPY awards.
"I Am Cait" episode 7 began with Caitlyn making preparations for her appearance at the ESPY awards, which will be her first stage appearance since the declaration of her new identity. Until now, the 65-year-old was just trying out clothes which she thought was glamorous.
To make a good impression at the event, Cailtyn is seen contemplating on hiring a stylist. Since she is a self-confessed fan of Angelina Jolie's looks, she decides to get in touch with her stylist.
While her attire for the award ceremony is settled, Cailtyn is faced with more a difficult task. It appears that she needed to apply again with her new name and gender to play golf in her favorite club.
Cailtyn is tempted to hand over the application with the name Bruce when she is cautioned by her new friends who told her that such a step could imply that she is ashamed of her true self and as a celeb spokesperson of the transgender community, she should refrain from doing so.
Not only golf, Caitlyn needs to do lots of paperwork in order to correct her social security, birth certificate, and ID to match her corrected sex so that she can be known as a woman legally too. She soon devises a plan to tackle the issue properly.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn, though, is finding love and support from her close friends and family, she now wants to confront her ex-wife Kris Jenner too. She has not met Kris since declaring her new identity on the covers of Vanity Fair and is also not in touch with her.
Caitlyn admits that she gets to know about her ex-wife either through her kids or through the media. A transgender friend advises Caitlyn to have a personal meeting with Kris as soon as possible.
Caitlyn invites Kris over at her place in the hope that her ex-wife will finally meet the woman in her. The episode ends in the cliffhanger as Kris appears on the doorway when "To Be Continued.." comes flashing on the screen.
