'Star Wars Battlefront' 2015 News: Pre-order, Price Details For Ultimate Edition Revealed; DICE Confirms Princess Leia, Han Solo, Emperor Palpatine As Playable Characters! [VIDEOS]

Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" 2015 will have Princess Leia, Han Solo and Emperor Palpatine as playable characters, as well as pre-order and price details for the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Game developer DICE confirmed that three new characters from the Star Wars mythos will be added in "Star Wars: Battlefront" as Han Solo, Princess Leia and Emperor Palpatine will be heading into the battlefield in the latest Star Wars video game, VG 24/7 reported.

These three characters have been rumored to be part of "Star Wars: Battlefront" roster along with Qbi-Wan Kenobi, Chewbacca, Starkiller, Yoda and many more. DICE explained that each character has their own unique roles and abilities within the game.

Princess Leia will be a support characters as she will provide buffs for team members and holding positions in the game. Her skills includes Trooper Bane which can cause stun or large damage to an enemy when hit. Enhanced Squad Shield in order to protect herself from incoming enemy fire and even Force based abilities. Her last ability is Supply Drop which provides different power-ups and health boost for both troopers and hero characters.

Han Solo in the game will be a gunslinger type character with "beefier" set of arsenals and he all about "offensive output, damage and mobility". Rapid Fire allows him to fire multiple shots, while Lucky Shot can build up and release power within the blast making it efficient against enemy vehicles and Shoulder Charge allows him to pull off offensive and defensive move to quickly move in and out of the battlefield.

Emperor Palpatine will have two Force based powers and the first of these is the Force Lightning, which deals powerful damage against enemy units and can also have a chain effect on multiple targets. The second is the Force Dash which allows him to move fast towards enemies with ease or get away from them. His third ability allows him to send out power ups for his allies and himself using Imperial resources.

In other news, Electronic Arts revealed the price and pre-order details for "Star Wars: Battlefront" Ultimate Edition.

The "Star Wars: Battlefront" Ultimate Edition is said to very expensive, twice the price of the standard version at $120 when gamers decide to pre-order it in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version, GameSpot reported. The PC version on the other hand is at $146.80.

The contents in the "Ultimate Edition" are a DLC pass for future contents in the game and five items from Deluxe version such as the Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, DL-44 Blaster (Han Solo version) Ion Shock and Victory emotes.

Xbox users who have EA Access membership will have 10 percent discount on the game.

"Star Wars Battlefront" will be release on Nov. 17 for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
